Pre-release · desktop app for Windows & macOS

The job radar that says: apply anyway.

ApplyAnyway is a local-first desktop app that watches company career pages and job boards for you, triages every posting with AI — and tells you which “not-quite-fits” are actually worth applying to.

How it works

1

Sources

The app polls company career pages and job boards from your own machine and merges everything into one deduplicated feed.

2

AI triage

Each vacancy gets an A/B/C/D eligibility tier and a relevance score with a written explanation — you read conclusions, not fifty tabs.

3

Track in the CRM

Keep what's interesting, dismiss the rest, move applications through the pipeline — with full history per company.

“Hybrid” is often negotiable. Requirements are often a wish list.

Job boards think in checkboxes: remote — yes/no, seniority — exact match. Real hiring doesn’t work that way. Great postings get filtered out because of one formal line, and the roles you could actually negotiate never reach you.

ApplyAnyway replaces the binary filter with an eligibility tier from A to D. Tier A is a clean match. Tier B is the heart of the product: postings you don’t formally fit but can likely talk your way into — for example, a “hybrid” role at a company whose other openings are remote. That usually means their hybrid is policy, not necessity. No job board shows you this.

Don’t pass the filter? Apply anyway — that’s the name.

What it does

Straight from the source

Monitors public career-site APIs (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday and more) plus major job boards. Duplicates are merged — one vacancy, one card, one inbox.

Tiers, not filters

AI reads each posting and extracts work mode, geography, time zones, seniority and salary (normalized into one currency), then assigns an A/B/C/D eligibility tier and a relevance score — including the negotiable cases a filter would discard.

Learns from you

Every keep or dismiss in the inbox is a training signal. Your profile weights adjust over time, and sorting becomes personal — simple arithmetic you can inspect, not a black box.

Company watchlist

Keep a list of dream employers and poll their career pages directly. Spotted an interesting company in the feed? One click adds it, with the career-site type detected automatically.

A mini-CRM built in

Inbox for triage, pipeline for applications, company cards with history and notes. Where you applied, what they answered — all in one place, all local.

Any profession

Nothing is hardcoded for one industry. A game designer, a lawyer and a nurse get a working setup from the same wizard — built from their own CV.

Your data stays on your machine

Everything runs locally: fetching, analysis, the database, the interface. Your CV, searches, notes and application history never leave your computer. The cloud part knows almost nothing about you — an email address and a balance.

Fetching happens from your own home connection, politely and slowly — the way a person browses, not the way a datacenter scrapes.

Bring any AI — or none

Connect the provider you already use: Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter, DeepSeek, Groq, Mistral and other compatible APIs — or run a free local model via Ollama or LM Studio, with no key and no per-token cost.

No AI at all? The app still works: keyword-based filtering and sorting, with every AI-dependent feature degrading honestly instead of breaking.

Why not the usual tools?

Why not job-board alerts?

Alerts cover one site and match keywords literally. ApplyAnyway aggregates many sources including company career pages that never reach the boards, deduplicates them, explains every match — and learns from your reactions instead of repeating the same query forever.

Why not a web aggregator?

Because it runs from your home connection, the app sees career pages the way a person does — sources that routinely stonewall datacenter crawlers. And your CV, profile and search history stay on your machine instead of someone else's cloud.

Set up in about 5 minutes — from your CV

Upload your CV and the setup wizard drafts everything: your profile, job sources, search queries, even a starter watchlist of companies in your field. You review and approve each step — the AI proposes, you decide.

  1. Upload your CV (PDF, DOCX or plain text)
  2. Review the extracted profile: roles, geography, preferences
  3. Confirm suggested sources and search queries
  4. First fetch runs — your inbox fills up

Honest pricing (planned)

A prepaid balance, charged only on days the app actually fetches new vacancies for you. Not searching this month? You pay nothing. Everything already fetched — your data, notes and CRM — stays available for free, forever.

Final numbers will be announced at launch. Card and crypto payments are planned.
