Terms of Service

These terms cover the ApplyAnyway desktop app and its cloud services. They are written in plain language on purpose — if something here is unclear, ask us at support@applyanyway.app before agreeing.
License
We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to install and use ApplyAnyway for your own job search. One account is for one person. You may not resell the app, share accounts, or offer the app's functionality to third parties as a service.
Prepaid balance
Paid features work from a prepaid balance, charged only on days the app actually fetches new vacancies for you. Data you have already fetched, your notes and the CRM remain usable free of charge, indefinitely.
Top-ups are generally non-refundable, except where the law gives you a mandatory right to a refund. As a reasonable default on top of that: unused balance is refundable on request within 30 days of the top-up — write to support. Spent balance (days the service was actually delivered) is not refunded.
Fair use of the built-in AI
The hosted AI mode exists to analyze vacancies and drafts for your own job search inside the app. Daily quotas apply (generous enough that normal use never hits them). Don't use the AI proxy as a general-purpose API, automate against it outside the app, or attempt to bypass quotas — we may throttle or suspend accounts that abuse it, and will say so honestly if we do.
Local fetching is your usage
The app fetches publicly available job postings on your machine, over your connection, at your direction — like a browser does, politely and slowly. You are responsible for your own use of it: for complying with the terms of the sites you point it at and with the laws that apply to you. We do not fetch anything on your behalf from our servers.
No warranty
The app and services are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Job sources change and break; AI scoring is advice, not truth; we do not guarantee that any vacancy is accurate, still open, or right for you — or that you will get any job. Nothing here is career or legal advice.
Liability cap
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claims connected with the app or services is capped at the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For meaningful changes we will notify registered users by email in advance and update the date on this page. Continuing to use the service after the effective date means acceptance; if you disagree, stop using the service and request a refund of unused balance.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of Portugal. Provider: ApplyAnyway (sole proprietor) — the formal legal entity will be named here before commercial launch. Questions, complaints, refund requests: support@applyanyway.app.
This is a plain-language default document; formal legal review is pending. It reflects how the product actually works — no hidden clauses.
